On this page ,there is a nice impression of my music and how my soundscape’s has been made under the name Hilltree [ peter groenewoud ]. The older tracks [1978- 1980] are analog tape recorded and after 1980 with the Chapman stick, different synthesizers, sequencers, drum computer and a large number of external equipment. My music was influenced by the Berlin School of electronic music like Tangerine Dream ,Klaus Schulze, Neuronium, and naturally all other style synthesizer gods like Vangelis , Jean michel Jarre ect. Therefore …many equipment, wires and plugs. My style is characterized by soaring synthesizer melodies in high-register accompanied by complex, shifting analog sequencer bass lines en classic drum grooves ,layering and stacking multiple synthesizers to make epic ambient soundscape’s, evil bleeping modular electronic drones and nice layback listening synthtracks.Or click this link for more .
